With Big Sur OSX 11, Many Cam works fine with Logitech BRIO camera. However, once I upgraded the Mac to Monterey (OSX 12 Beta 1), the camera became very slow (about 2 FPS). I tried all settings but it will not fix.
Perhaps there is a new beta I need to try for this new OSX?
If I used same camera directly (FaceTime for example) without ManyCam, it works very smooth.
SOLVED!
I finally fixed it by a luck. To increase from the 5FPS Brio camera to higher like 60 or 30FPS on OSX 12 beta 1/2, do the following steps:
-
Click the crop icon for transform menu.
-
Click on crop button (we will not crop)
-
At bottom, uncheck this setting: Allow ManyCam to force video format for this camera.
-
Bingo, the FPS goes up to normal speed.
So I think the "Allow ManyCam to force video format for this cameraā€¯ setting should be copied to VIDEO SETTINGS (with resolutions). This hidden setting finally solved my issue.
