When I open ManyCam, sometimes the video image is frozen and won’t load a fresh video image without forcing full shutdown and re-opening.

What source for video are you using? USB Webcam?, a dedicated video capture card like Elgato Camlink?
I was experiencing video freeze while streaming live, until I realize that the USB cable I was using from my Elgato HD60 S+ to my PC was too long (I was using an USB extension to reach the PC from the capture card). I did the respective changes so the original USB cable reached the PC and whala! there is no more video freezing! Hope this helps.
