IP Camera freeze

Hi - I have added an IP Camera to a ManyCam preset, it works just fine for a few seconds then freezes, I know it’s not a problem with the camera as I can see the live feed on the app.

Settings wise…

  • Asynch frame transmission - > yes
  • Force driver output resolution > yes
Hardware accel - auto (although I have tried switching to metal too)
    Double buffer
Video device > system default (i have tried alternatives too)

Any indication please as to what I’m doing wrong ?

Thanks - Martin

Hey @Martin

Our team will need the ManyCam log files to investigate this. The log files are stored in the Library folder, which is hidden by default. You can enable full path in Finder by checking View -> Show Path Bar. The full path should be something like this:

/Users//Library/Application Support/Visicom Media/ManyCam/Logs

How to retrieve the log files from ManyCam:

  1. Start ManyCam and reproduce the issue,
  2. Close ManyCam: ManyCam menu -> Quit ManyCam.
  3. Navigate to the following location:
    ~/Library/Application Support/Visicom Media/ManyCam/Logs
Collect all the files from this location.

Once all files are retrieved, send them to our Support Team in a zipped archive.

Also, let tham know what IP cam you are using and add URLs that you’ve alraedy tried.

In the meantime, also try opening your IP cam in VLC Player and see if it freezes there.

Hi I am having the same issue, was there a solution to this problem?

I have this issue as well. When will this bug be fixed?

@Lehel

Please try to switch decoder, download and double click on one of the regedit file (try each what is the best):
http://download3.manycams.com/support/decoders/decoder-mft.reg
http://download3.manycams.com/support/decoders/decoder-ff.reg

ManyCam requires full restart (Ctrl+Q to close)

My problem is on ios
