Create a Manycam version for the new Apple Silicon (M1 chip)

Macs are all changing to the new Apple Silicon (M1 chip). Currently ManyCam does work on these machines but is extremely resource-hungry. Since Macs will all change to M1 it would seem worth producing a ManyCam version for them

We’re a year after the M1 was released, and still no Apple Silicon version of ManyCam. At the very least it would be helpful to have Apple Silicon / Universal Binary versions of resident applications, specifically ManyCamAudioDevice.driver and ManyCamVideoDeviceAgent.

Following up on this: it’s now almost THREE YEARS after the release of Apple Silicon. MacOS is slowly dropping support for Intel-based Macs, with Sonoma even releasing features that are simply not available on Intel-based Macs. Within the next 24 months it’s likely that Intel Macs will no longer be supported at all by modern versions of macOS.

And yet ManyCam STILL does not provide an ARM-native version. Why do I have a subscription if you’re not going to fix this?
