Applications Are not available to Display

Just started using and got many of the features working but the most basic is not
None of my Apps running on my Mac appear available in the list of available apps to display in either of the choices in “Desktop” (App Window or App Area"

As you can see from the screenshot all that displays are background apps from the taskbar, Manycam, and some system services
I have Word and powerpoint running

Thanks for the suggestion. The link shows instructions that require you to select “Screen Recording” in the System Preferences Pane - but that does not exist?

What macOS updeate do you have installed?
