Unlike Spotify albums and playlists, which can only be downloaded with a Premium account, podcasts are accessible for download with both free and Premium accounts. A Premium account allows users to download albums, playlists, and podcasts, while a free account permits downloads of podcasts only.
Part 1: Downloading Spotify Podcasts on Mobile and Tablet
Spotify enables users to download podcasts on mobile devices and tablets with either account type.

Open the Spotify app and sign in.

Locate the podcast you wish to download. Tap the downward arrow to save specific episodes.

You can find your downloaded episodes under Your Library > Podcasts > Downloads.
Part 2: Downloading Spotify Podcasts on Desktop
Initially, only users with a Premium account had the ability to download podcasts on desktop.
Clicking the download icon next to an episode description will only save the most recent episode; there is no option to download an entire podcast, which may consist of thousands of episodes.
To download specific episodes, scroll down and select “See all episodes,” find the desired episode, and click the downward arrow to save it for offline access.
It’s important to note that downloaded podcasts are protected, meaning they can only be played within the Spotify app on the device where they were saved.
